Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Vice President of Carrier Wireless products will focus on setting business direction/vision, strategy, drives business results, growth, product development, customer satisfaction and organizational development. This position will report to the President. He/She will inspire and manage a team of approx. 100+ associates through 3- 5 direct reports with product responsibility of $75million. The decision to create this new position and hire a strategically focused leader reflects the growing importance our Carrier Wireless related products have on the overall business. The Vice President’s peer relationships will include the: Vice Presidents of other Business Units, Vice President, Global Marketing; Vice President, Americas Sales; Vice President of Asia/Pac Sales and Vice President of EMEA Sales.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Work cross-organizationally to define, develop, and deliver an innovative strategy and roadmap to anticipate and respond to market and customer needs

· Build, manage, and mentor a team of innovative professionals to deliver with a focus on talent and leadership development; become an exporter of talent

· Develop a highly efficient and scalable model that cost-effectively expands our footprint and ecosystem reach

· Work with analytics product teams to deliver integrated end-to-end business solutions

· Work with the President to establish goals and milestones

· Interact and collaborate with customers and partners

· As a senior member of the executive team, participate in strategic planning activities

· Drive revenue growth

· Create and implement a global strategic business plan to drive growth objectives on an annual and strategic 3-5

year basis

· Partner with Field Marketing and Sales to formulate business, channel and market strategies to meet and

exceed sales growth targets

· Contribute to the development of strategic and business planning process

· Proven experience with strategic M&A and integration of newly acquired business

· Use DBS tools to establish and achieve breakthrough year over year performance

Job Requirements

- Familiar with concepts, practices, and procedures typical in the field including knowledge of trademark laws, OpCo advertising and market research
- Demonstrated development and deployment of marketing and systems
- Technical skills in strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills for internal selling

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum 15 years’ experience with 5+ years as general manager

· Undergraduate degree in engineering or related technical discipline with an MBA preferred

· Broad experience and expertise in product development, marketing and sales in a global company

· Enterprise Networking knowledge/domain expertise preferably in Network Performance and Application

Management

· Strong financial acumen and familiarity with financial forecasting and budgeting

· Working Experience in WiFi and/or 3G/LTE wireless oriented business with an Equipment Manufacturer

· Commercially savvy, experience with establishing strong GTM with Carriers

· Familiarity and appreciation for digital marketing – web and social media

· Solid understanding of Wireless Technology but not a CTO

· Track record of winning business with Carriers worldwide.

· Strategic Thinker with ability to identify critical issues and craft practical solutions

· Passion for Talent development

· Big picture person but with demonstrated ability to roll sleeves and work at a tactical level

· Demonstrated leadership in a cross functional environment

· OEM and M&A experience desirable
