Description

We have a desire to add strong and driven talent to our company, particularly in the area of Product Marketing/Product Management.

Product Marketing Manager for Fluke Networks will have commercial responsibility for a multi-million global business, driving the product line strategy, influencing the product road map to address future growth, creating compelling business cases and work with a variety of functional groups to execute marketing programs for any one of several businesses and markets for which we provide solutions. Numerous products exist or are under development across Fluke Networks providing bountiful opportunity, challenge and growth within the company.

Our product roadmap is exciting and moving us into new areas and this shift demands marketing leaders who not only have passion and skills for bringing a story to life, but also the ability to drive the change and execution required by this new approach and our robust goals.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and demonstrated product management experience. They should be capable of training, promoting and communicating technical topics with strong writing and speaking skills. They should have the organizational and analytical skills to understand and resolve business issues to drive commercial success. Key deliverables will be revenue growth, price optimization, product line vitality, cost management and margin expansion.

Job Responsibilities:

Technical, Strategic, and Commercial Sales Support

- Responds to requests for information, handles escalations from Technical Support, and adeptly resolves problems for sales associates.
- Develops and delivers training to the sales force and channels / partners
- Plays the role of the ultimate product champion; Presents product, program, and roadmap proposals to executive management

Product Management

- Manages the product lifecycle by performing price maintenance, forecasting, quality, information forms, and the administration of product retirements and new product introductions.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail for product requirements and NPI process requirements
- Participates in forecasting and planning for product line

Marketing-Communications Support

- Provides technical support for trade shows and product announcements
- Works in collaboration with marketing services to develop raw content for marketing collateral including technical white papers, application briefs, and other deliverables

Competitive and Business Analysis

- Provides strategic input to business planning processes in the form of market sizing models and analysis of competitors.
- Understands product line performance and proactively resolve problems, seize opportunities, and provide regular status reports to management.
- Analyzes markets and competitors to identify market trends and customer needs.

Qualifications

Skills Required:

1. Technical Curiosity and Learning Agility: Can quickly develop expertise with assigned products, understanding how the products work, how they fit into the competitive landscape, how they service critical customer applications and how they comply with relevant standards.
2. Communication and knowledge management: Must be able to produce technical marketing content. In addition to internal marketing collateral and sales training, this includes writing and speaking for industry events and publications.
3. Works cross functionally: As the primary owner of product life cycle management, individual must be able to contribute to product strategy, product development, and sustaining activities. Must manage time and commitments effectively. Associate will partner with Field Marketing associates to effectively share the burden of content and creative work. Collaboration with internal and external partners is critical to Product Manager’s success.
4. Interacts productively with the sales organization: This requires strong interpersonal skills, writing and speaking skills, understanding of process, ability to quickly assess opportunities, comfort with traveling and public speaking.
5. Participates in product strategy & business unit leadership. This requires business and industry acumen and an ability to think critically and strategically. It requires interactive work with Strategic Product Planner, Director of Marketing, Engineering, Sales Representatives, and Customers to gather and analyze market data and VOC. And the candidate must be able to champion ideas in order to help drive growth for the business.

Experience:

- 5+ years of technical marketing, sales engineering, or product management experience.
- Bachelor's degree required; scientific field preferred.
- MBA degree preferred; Individuals with experience in the IT and/or Test and Measurement industry are desired.
- Understanding of and demonstrated experience with gathering customer input and analysis to develop product line strategy.
